Launching of “online accounting software package” for

Estate worker housing Cooperatives

A launching ceremony of an “online accounting software package for the estate worker housing cooperatives” in Sri Lanka, which was developed under the project of Capacitating of Cooperatives in Plantations and villages (CCPV) in Nuwara Eliya was taken place on 12th December 2017 in Windsor Hotel, Nuwara Eliya. The CCPV project is implemented by PALM Foundation in collaboration with the We Effect Sri Lanka and Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT). This initiative aims, enhancing to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the EWHCs by accessing the new technology to the estate worker Housing Cooperatives.

Mr Lal Perera, the Director General of Plantation Human Development Trust participated as the chief guest of special occasion, accompanied by Mr Athula Wijewardhana, Regional Director of PHDT. Mr Mahinda Palitha, Senior Cooperative Development Officer, Mrs Subhashi Dissanayake, Country Director We Effect Sri Lanaka, Mr B Vijayan Executive director board member of PALM Foundation and Mr Saman Wijebandara, Team Leader, PALM Foundation together with other Invitees from government and non government organizations and respective RPCs and estate management were also took part in this special moment.
